From the suspension of the supply to the re-entry of the Competition Council into the pricing cycle

In a situation where, according to the emphasis of the inspection organization and with the aim of preventing price increases in the car market, the supply of cars in the stock market will return to the previous routine until the prices are determined, which some experts believe, the recent price increase cannot be attributed to the stock market. Rather, it should be seen who are the beneficiaries of the car supply in the stock market.
Khodrocar - since the beginning of this year and with the approval of the car organization plan, the sale of cars in the commodity exchange has started, so that from now on the discovery of the price will be based on supply and demand and the profit from the sale will go to the car manufacturers. With the start of this action and the profit from the sale that went to the car manufacturers instead of the middlemen, the sweetness of this supply model was liked by the car manufacturers and the supply from them increased. 

In the same period of time, the prices in the open market increased significantly and some attributed this increase to the commodity exchange and the increase in the base price. Therefore, in the latest incident following the chaos of the car market in the past weeks, the managers of Iran Khodro and Saipa , Vice Minister of Industry and Transportation, Samat, representative of the Competition Council, etc. were called to the General Inspection Organization of the country.

The Deputy Director of Production Supervision and Inspection of the Inspection Organization has announced that the Competition Council must fulfill its legal duty regarding car pricing as soon as possible and the supply of cars by Iran Khodro and Saipa will continue as in the past with the lottery method until the task is completed. The supply of cars in the commodity exchange should be determined.

Ahmed Safaei, an expert of the Commodity Exchange, in an interview with the reporter of Khodrokar , emphasized on the sale of cars on the Commodity Exchange as the first experience among all countries. This happened for the first time in Iran and this release has brought several points since May.

He adds: At the same time as the release of the car in the commodity exchange, the price of the car was restrained and the market was open to the commodity exchange, and even at the beginning of the release of the car in the stock exchange, it affected the prices to some extent and we saw a decrease in the prices.

Referring to the issuance of coin certificates in the Commodity Exchange, Safai clarifies: During that period of time, due to the negative impact of this action on the price of the coin, the issuance of these certificates was stopped, even though at that time the coin was worth two million tomans, but today the coin We are 20 million tomans. The supply of cars in the commodity exchange has its beneficiaries, and two companies, Iran Khodro and Saipa, are among the beneficiaries of this.

This commodity exchange expert continues: If Iran Khodro and Saipa were to distribute the price of Peugeot 206 fairly with a price of 200 million tomans, this car would be sold in the open market at a price of 450 million tomans, and this price difference would be in the middleman's pocket. Now and then, with the sale of the car in the commodity exchange, this difference will be given to the car manufacturer, and there should be no discomfort, because in the end, there will be less pressure on the Ministry of industry.

By stating that the examination of all these aspects shows that the sale of cars in the commodity exchange was a good experience, but it is not a cure for the pain, he states: Maybe this is a temporary and defensible solution, but it seems that the commodity exchange cannot continue for a long time. Time is a solution to solve the problems of the automobile industry.

Referring to some people's obstacles to the sale of cars on the commodity exchange, Safai says: we need to see who are the supporters and opponents, as well as the beneficiaries of the sale of cars on the stock exchange, so even though there were objections to the sale of cars on the stock exchange before, it was emphasized that the stock exchange Goods are not a solution to solve the problems and cure the pains of the automobile industry, but it is a wrong thinking to say that the supply of automobiles in the commodity exchange has caused an increase in the price of automobiles in the free market.

This capital market expert continues by referring to the average of 50 million tomans for housing in Tehran: this price has increased while there is no stock exchange for housing, or the price of currency, which is now bought and sold in the range of 40 thousand tomans, is also offered on the stock exchange. can't Therefore, offering a car in the stock market in the short term can be considered a good experience, but it is necessary to think of another solution to solve the problem of car manufacturers.

Regarding the competition council's re-entry into car pricing, Safai also states: The experience of the competition council's intervention in the car field shows a failed experience in this field, while before this, the head of the competition council eloquently determined a formula for pricing. Khodro demanded the supply of cars at these prices, but the free market did not comply with these prices and not only did not  reduce the problems of the automobile industry, but also added to the problems of this industry.

He emphasizes: the question is always raised, why does the competition council enter into the field of pricing, but does not enter into the field of creating competition in all fields, especially the automobile industry, and it has kept silent about this. The intervention of the Competition Council not only does not solve the problem, but the question arises that if the supply of cars in the stock market is stopped, will the prices decrease in the open market or not?
